Neighborhoods

Neighborhoods serve as an extension and continuation of the mission and focus of Vox Veniae. Namely, to live the church outside the building walls.

When/Where is it?

Each neighborhood represents a section of Austin where members of Vox Veniae live. As far as where and when they meet, that will be decided by the neighborhood itself. See the neighborhood representative for more details.

How big are the groups?

As small as five, and as big as ten. These numbers are subject to change.

What am I getting myself into with these "Neighborhoods"?

A chance to get to know other people in Vox Veniae, as well as a chance to live out the church in your very own neighborhood.

What does "living out the church" mean?

See: Vox Veniae Mission Statement.
While we cannot promise that, for example, Activity A is 'living out the church', we will try to provide as many service opportunities that are feasibly available to us. Neighborhoods themselves are also free to come up with their own ideas, since they will know their location and situation better.

Isn't this just another small group/bible study?

Well, by definition, it will be a small group of people. Cannot get around that. We won't be going through scripture inductively, but we will be going through literature, teaching and Scripture that will hopefully challenge you enough to do so on your own (in conjunction with other activities/projects). Point is, we are not here to spoon feed you religion.
